The Emerson Journals Digital Archive

The Ralph Waldo Emerson Institute is pleased to offer digital files of the Emerson Journals.

The digitized files were scanned and edited from the Edward Emerson ten-volume edition, originally published by Houghton Mifflin in 1904-14.  The ten volumes comprise 5000 pages of Emerson's private journals, which he kept throughout his lifetime.
