Reading of new book

On September 2nd at 7:00pm, Dr. Richard Geldard will be giving a reading of his new book, Emerson and the Dream of America: Finding our Way to A New and Exceptional Age at Barnes & Noble on West 82nd Street in NYC.

Dr. Geldard has recently had his third article published in the Huffington Post. Take a look, this piece made the front page of the Politics section, In This Other America.

Dear All:

We have a very special Emersonian guest here in Concord for a very short time only. 
Consequently a special meeting of the Emerson Reading Circle will convene this

Wednesday, June 6, 2007
at the Concord Library at
7:15pm,
in the Lower Community Meeting Room.


Our special guest is

Antonio Caro Magallanes
 of Guadalajara, México.

  Antonio will give a short talk on the essay Self Reliance (Word Doc) and
the effect Emerson is having on his group and community in Mexico.

Time permitting we will read some of Self Reliance (on RWE.org) together,
which may hopefully lead to one of our lively discussions. 

This is indeed an opportunity to hold hands
with our Emerson Friends around the world.

A reminder that our usual June meeting will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at the usual time and place.
