The Ralph Waldo Emerson Institute is pleased to welcome a new intern to our staff, Tara Burton. Over the summer months, Tara will be contributing to our ongoing work on Emerson's Journals, as well as on production of our upcoming DVD. Perhaps more importantly, Tara has taken specific interest in Emerson's 1833 travels through Europe. During her stay with the Institute, she will be conducting research on this important journey and period in Emerson's life. Her research will culminate in a book on the topic to be published by the RWE Institute Press

Tara, formerly a resident of Rome, Italy, is a writer currently living in New York City. She has won numerous awards for her works of fiction, and has been published in The Copperfield Review and The Orphan Leaf Review
