The days come and go like muffled and veiled figures sent from
a distant friendly party, but they say nothing, and if we do not use the
gifts they bring, they carry them as silently away.

Ralph Waldo Emerson: His Life, Work and Legacy
1:00 to 5:00 pm
28 Worcester Lane
Waltham, Massachusetts
In the nineteenth century Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882) wrote of "One Self
which animates all things... One mind common to all," and awakened America to
a vision of transcendent unity. Igniting a search for truth, freedom and
self-knowledge through his writing and his life, Emerson still inspires
readers today to embrace these truths for themselves.
Join us to celebrate and explore Emerson, his family and circle of friends,
his influences and his legacy. The afternoon program will include lectures,
dramatic readings, guided study and group discussions. Rediscover the wisdom
of our great American philosopher!
Cost: $30 (wine and cheese reception included) For tickets, directions or
other information call: 1-800-423-4553 (Please let us know if you are coming
by April 14th so that we can plan appropriate seating.)
